Axon regularly accepts new projects throughout Central and Southern California; priding ourselves on having worked with some of the most respected leaders in their industries. 

Ongoing Biological Inventory and Assessment services for Land Use and Coastal Development Permitting.  Axon is listed as a Qualified Biological Consultant in Los Angeles, Ventura, Santa Barbara, San Luis Obispo, and Monterey Counties, as well as various cities that utilize Qualified Consultant Lists, including Malibu.

Multi-project jurisdictional delineations and permitting for Section 401, 404, and 1600 compliance for deteriorated pole replacement and facilities maintenance. Included Habitat Assessment and Jurisdictional Delineation Report preparation. Employed by Sentinel Science, Inc. and contract under Rincon Consultants, Inc. and ERM.

SoCal Edison and PG&E: Waters of the U.S./State Delineation and Permitting

Monterey County/NMFS-approved fisheries biologist responsible for overseeing diversion and dewatering of Carmel River for scour repair and bank stabilization activities. Ensured compliance with Biological Opinion #WCR-2018-9389, including safe capture and relocation of approximately 100 Federally Threatened steelhead. Contracted under Pacific Coast Conservation Alliance and Papich Construction.

Monterey County Robinson Canyon Bridge Improvement Project, Carmel Valley

USFWS-approved CA red-legged frog biologist responsible for ensuring compliance with Programmatic Biological Opinion #2022-0005149-S7, as well as Section 401, 404,  and 1600 permits. Conducted worker trainings, pre-activity surveys, and project monitoring, and prepared all biological  documentation, including Habitat Restoration Plan.

Coastal San Luis Resource Conservation District: Stenner Creek Watershed Enhancement Project, Cal Poly, SLO

Caltrans/USFWS-approved CA red-legged frog and CA tiger salamander biologist responsible for ensuring compliance with biological project conditions. Included safe capture and relocation of one CA red-legged frog and one southwestern pond turtle in compliance with all regulatory statutes and Caltrans policies. Contracted under Pacific Coast Conservation Alliance and Quimu Contractors. 

Caltrans Highway 135 Road Improvement Project, Los Alamos

USFWS/Caltrans-approved Designated Biologist for California red-legged frog and San Joaquin kit fox, and Biological Monitor for California tiger salamander.  Contracted under Padre Associates, Inc.

Caltrans: Highway 41/46 "Wye" Corridor Improvement Project

Qualified Biologist for South-Central California Coast steelhead and California red-legged frog. Responsible for ensuring compliance with Section 401, 404,  and 1600 permits, as well as USFWS Biological Opinion. Included supervision of Salinas River isolation/dewatering and relocation of native fish and amphibian species.  Contracted under JBD Environmental Consulting and Pacific Coast Conservation Alliance. 

Monterey County: Bradley Bridge Scour Retrofit Project
